This "article" isn't really an article but a collection of links. It'll serve as the official "links" section of GlowingFaceMan.com and I'll update it all the time as I add more links.
--------------------------------------------------------
BLOGGER: The site I use to publish this blog. It's pretty easy and fun to use, though I imagine eventually I'm going to upgrade as GlowingFaceMan.com becomes bigger.
Tae Kim's Japanese Guide to Japanese Grammar: The best source for Japanese grammar in the world. Most Japanese textbooks for English speakers are written in an attempt to make the language seem less alien to English speakers. But the fact is, the language are very much different, and the attempt to paint over the differences just obscures the beauty of Japanese, not to mention imparting a bunch of stiff, formal Japanese that Japanese people seldom really use (unless you're a train conductor).
Steve Pavlina: A blog with heaps of great articles on self-improvement. I've been reading Steve's stuff for almost a year now and I've still hardly scratched the surface.
English Wiktionary: A dictionary built on the model of wikipedia: anyone can edit it. I contribute here sometimes just for fun; it's a great way to get a better feeling for languages and keep an eye on the pulses of English.
Portal of Evil News: A news portal with some of the best comments around. Warning, the community is not very newbie-friendly.
Reviewing the Kanji: A companion website for the book Remembering the Kanji. Also, apparently the world's holdout for all the most desperately fanatic language learners. Despite the Japanese emphasis, the forums here are a great place for anyone interested in language acquisition in general, because people are constantly pushing the envelope in the mad quest to learn the elusive devil's tongue, Japanese.
StumbleUpon: A great system for finding new content on the web. Install their software and you get a "stumble" button on your browser which whisks you off to a random webpage based on your preferences and on what other users vote on. Great way to keep in touch with the changing internet.
Google: Do I need to say anything? It's a search engine and it rules. They also sponsor me with their contextual ad system.
FLV to MP3 Online Converter: Ever wish you could download music vids from youtube as mp3s? This is the tool to do just that. Just paste a youtube URL and this site will automatically turn it into an mp3 for you to download.
DailyKos: A political blog where I catch up on politics news. It has a definite liberal slant, but it's still way better than the TV news. Be careful not to spend too much time here, it can be addicting.
Facebook: One of the big social networking sites. Good for keeping track of friends.
Seanbaby.com: One of the funniest webpages on the net. It's just some guy's personal webpage with lots of random stuff, but he does it really well and he's hilarious. Warning, most the material can be highly offensive in nature...
Infiltration: Only visit this place if you're ready to have some assumptions about the way society works knocked about. This is the usual entry point into the Urban Exploration community.
