How to Type SMS (phone text messages) Faster

I'm gonna teach you how to type SMS's like a pro. There are three techniques. First though, why do you want to devote some time to learning how to type SMS's fast? Text is the mobile communication of the future, my friend. Not only that, but by reading lots of my webpage, you'll soon start attracting so many cute babes/hunks that it'd be impossible to keep up with all of them if you just used old fashioned calls. With text you can ask twenty girls how their day was simultaneously, or twenty guys if you're female.

First I'll talk about two well-known methods, then I'll unveil the elite, super secret Glowing Face Method which has been developed over a number of years of intense research at Glowing Face Labs.

First method is called T9Word. On my phone, to get to it, I go to a text-entering screen, go to change mode, and it's one of the options. Other options are normal text, numbers, symbols, and smileys. If that doesn't work for getting you to T9Word mode, read yer phone's manual or ask a friend.
Anyway once you're in T9Word you type words acting as if each key had just 1 letter associated to it. For example to type "friend" you press 374363. Obviously this is ambiguous, but your phone will pick the most common choice for that combo. 90% of the time this works pretty sweet, it's as if the phone is reading your mind. Who knows maybe it is... (eerie music plays)

The big drawback with T9Word is that sometimes you want to write one word and it reads it as another. This happens a lot with small (2 letter) words. For example "he" and "if" would both be typed by pressing 43. My phone translates 43 as "he". So when I want to write "if", I have to do it manually.

Next technique is very simple and hardly counts as a cellphone technique but I'm including it for sake of completion. If you log on to your cell phone company's website, they probably have an option where you can type SMS's directly on the computer and transmit them with the click of a button. Obviously this can let you rattle off some pretty fast SMS's. I don't even need to mention the drawback, you gotta be at your computer.

OK finally the Glowing Face Man exclusive technique. This has been developed over many hours of swapping texts with hot babes.

First ask. What's the biggest slowdown when entering a SMS without T9Word? The answer is, when you have 2 or more letters in a row that use the same key. You have to pause between them. Because it takes a second for the first one to be "finalized" since you could theoretically change it to another letter by pressing the key again.

So what you do is you press the key. Then you immediately press another key, randomly. Then you press back. Presto, now you're ready to proceed. An example will make this clear.

Let's look at the word "night". A real nightmare to type in SMS, right? Wrong, not when you have my magical method. By the way, this method is U.S. patent #67578745674532. Three separate fortune 500 companies have tried to buy the patent rights from me but I am holding firm because I want to share the trick exclusively with you my dear reader.

Here's the exact keystrokes I use to type out "night" all correctly spelled and everything. B stands for Back:
664445B45B448
Do this yourself and you will see and understand how the method works. Night is hard to type because i,g,h are all assigned to key #4. When you press 444, that gives you the i. Now you need the g, but the curser is not "ready" for a brand new 4-letter yet. That's where pressing 5,B comes in. Pressing 5 introduces a j into the word which we don't want. So we backspace it out. Now boom, the cursor is ready to start a new 4-letter, without having to wait. So we press 4 again, and get our g. Now repeat the intentional wrong letter trick, and press 44 to get the h. Finally add a t and you have a beautiful perfectly spelled "night".

With just a little practice you can get amazingly fast at this and it becomes natural, you dont even think about it. And its hella impressive because when someone watches you it looks like you're typing a million words a minute on your phone because of all those superfluous keys.

To do it REALLY elite style, start using both your thumbs. It works well, one thumb can do the typing while the other does the intentional mistakes and backspaces. Or have them trade off. We're starting to talk some serious SMS speed now. You can almost SMS as fast as you can type on a computer.

Now you know the deep secrets of fast SMS typing. Discovered long ago by ancient Chinese mystics but forgotten until rediscovered by GLOWING FACE MAN for your enlightenment.

I'm not sure if you can do this on your phone, but I can use my right-arrow key instead of that extra-key-backspace technique. The right arrow only acts to select the character and doesn't put a space in or anything.

To use your example, "night" would be 66444r4r448 ("r" = right arrow), requiring half as many extra key presses. Yours will work on any phone, but this is frequently possible and is twice as fast!
